What is Happening? – Austin Faani wonders why actresses are not supporting Funke Akindele’s Governorship ambition

Nollywood filmmaker Austin Faani has wondered why his female colleagues are not supporting Funke Akindele on her Lagos State Deputy Governorship ambition.

The producer, happily married to screen diva Charity Eke (Chacha Eke), made his observations known on Thursday on his verified Instagram page.

Austin Faani wondered if it could be envy-holding actresses from rallying around in support of Funke Akindele, who is contesting to become the Deputy Governor of Lagos state under PDP.

He wrote: “Funke Akindele’s colleagues are not campaigning for her, especially the female celebrities.

Could it be envy or what?

We can post her film but not her political ambition.

Arnold Schwarzenegger was once the governor of California.
Do Y’all think she is not capable?
I trust she will do better than all the previous Deputy Governors of Lagos.

Vote, my Colleague.
Vote PDP
Vote Jandor and Funke.”

Austin Faani had expressed his disappointment at the commencement of the Big Brother Titans TV Reality Show just as Nigeria is at the peak of conducting the long-awaited general elections.

According to the father of four, Ebuka and the organizers of the show need to someday explain to Nigerians why such an irrational decision.

Taking to his verified Instagram page, Faani, who is happily married to Chacha Eke Faani, wrote: “Someday, not soon maybe, Ebuka and BBN will explain to Nigerians why they couldn’t wait for just a month as to not distract the Nigerian masses especially the southern Nigeria that engages more in their awesome show from the coming election. There will be this dialogue someday, and I hope their reasons make sense and add a positive impact to what everyone in Nigeria is after. Get your PVC, guys. I hear people say, vote wisely, with your conscience and all sorts. If you can’t use any of the above traits to vote, simply vote for Peter Obi and Datti Yusuf. Thumbprint where you see a family picture.”

It would be recalled that twenty-two energetic, young, and vibrant housemates drawn from Nigeria and South Africa had stormed the maiden edition of Africa’s top reality TV show, Big Brother Titans.

Bbtitans, as it would be mostly called, holds in South Africa, with the housemates battling for the ultimate prize of $100,000.

Tunde Bakare Rejects Emi-Lokan Politics, Warns Against Politics Of Entitlement..Things Fall Apart Quickly story By Abdullateef Aliyu

ByAbdullateef Aliyu

Pastor Tunde Bakare, Presiding Overseer of the Citadel Global Community Church (formerly Latter Rain Assembly), has said good politicians do not ask others to answer questions directed at them.

Bakare said this in his state-of-the-nation address on Sunday.

Although he did not mention the name of Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, Presidential Candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), he gave several instances that showed he was referring to the ruling party’s candidate.

During his presentation at Chatham House, London, in 2022, some audience members asked Tinubu questions about insecurity, oil theft, education, and the economy and how he planned to address crises in those areas if he became president.

As he was asked by the moderator to respond to the questions, Tinubu said he would assign some members of his entourage to do so.

The former Lagos State governor assigned Governor Nasir El-Rufai of Kaduna State to speak on how his (Tinubu-led) government would address insecurity and asked the Director of Strategic Communication of the APC Presidential Campaign Council, Dele Aleke, to respond to the question on oil theft. At the same time, he delegated a former Commissioner for Finance in Lagos State, Wale Edun, to respond to a question on how he (Tinubu) would boost the economy if elected.

This created a storm as critics said the action showed he was unfit to govern, but Tinubu’s supporters defended him, saying what he did show he was ready to run an inclusive government if elected.

In his address, Bakare also warned against the politics of entitlement, describing it as bad politics.

The preacher also made reference to the Yoruba word, ‘Emi lokan”, meaning it is my turn. Emi lokan became a popular term after Tinubu used it to canvass votes in Abeokuta, Ogun State capital, in the buildup to the APC Presidential primary, which Bakare contested but lost.

The cleric said politicians with a sense of entitlement evade political debate and fail to address the Nigerians they seek to serve.

He also asked Nigerians to reject vote buyers in the 2023 election and called for the entrenchment of good politics, which focuses on development issues.

“This ’ EMI lo kan’ politics that insists on one’s turn, even if circumstances do not align, is terrible. Politics of entitlement also manifests as a perennial candidacy, not intending to serve but to gratify long personal ambitions. It could also insist on a given political office as a reward for what one considers a lifetime of sacrifice to the nation. Politicians with a sense of entitlement evade political debates and do not consider it imperative to communicate with the electorate.”

“Entitlement politics will breed an imperial presidency that is distant from the people and has no sense of responsibility or accountability to the people. Such imperial governance will slide towards dictatorship and will be intolerant of dissent.

“Entitlement politicians set low-performance benchmarks for themselves when they secure power and are content with projecting molehills as mountains of achievement. Good Politics, Good Governance, Fellow Nigerians, having completed our analysis of bad politics and the bad governance it outputs, let us now look at good politics and its output of good governance. Good politics is pragmatic politics in the interest of the people. “Politicians who practice good politics talk to the people they intend to govern; by communicating, they allay fears, restore hope, and assure the citizens. It is engaging and interactive p: The practitioners of good politics are open to interrogation and do not avoid debates or evade difficult questions. It is inclusive: good politics gives a sense of belonging to historically excluded or vulnerable groups, including women, young people, the elderly, and persons living with disabilities,” he said

I am not in self-exiled abroad CBN Governor said. story by Faustine Ngila

Nigeria’s central bank governor Godwin Emefiele had been away from his home country for several weeks, reportedly self-exiling in an unknown country outside Africa.

Though the apex bank announced that he has resumed his duties (pdf) on Jan.16, without confirming whether he is back in the country, Emefiele has been alleged to be hiding to evade arrest by the country’s secret police over claims that he has been involved in corrupt activities and terrorism financing.

His absence raised eyebrows after he failed to explain the reason behind the redesign of Naira banknotes and cash withdrawal limits without consulting the finance ministry on Dec. 22, delegating that to deputy governor Aisha Ahmad. The redesign has been weakening the currency.

The case against Emefiele

At the time, he said he was hospitalized abroad before it was reported that he was on the run to avoid being detained for economic crimes and threatening national security. Secret police want to hold him in a 60-day detention, which could be renewed for another 60 days pending investigations.

Emefiele went on leave before Christmas with the knowledge of President Muhammadu Buhari. Still, on Jan. 15, he said he could not return to Nigeria because he was sick and undergoing treatment.

“First of all, he was accused of financing terrorism worth billions of dollars through some secret accounts allegedly supervised by him,” Janet Faden, an independent journalist based in Jos City, Plateau State, and who runs Plateau News Online, tells Quartz. She believes his devaluation of the Naira right before the upcoming elections is not coincidental.

In 2014, former central bank governor Alhaji Sanusi Lamido was also accused of financing terrorism. “They made a show out of it, but nothing tangible came out of the investigations. He sued them instead,” Faden says. Armed bandit attacks in Nigeria led to the loss of 2,600 lives in 2021, an increase of over 250% from 2020.

The Department of State Services (DSS) remains alert to arrest Emefiele on sight, despite a De. 29 ruling by Justice Maryam Hassan of the Federal Capital Territory High Court in Abuja quashing the move by the DSS because it provided no concrete evidence to back up its allegations.

The court responded to a suit filed by a Nigerian civil society group, the Forum for Accountability and Good Leadership. Pressure has been piling from the country’s law society for the federal government to stop plans to arrest the governor.

“Has the government considered the enormous implication of the effect of a wanted central bank governor on the economy? I am completely flabbergasted that the president of the country has not intervened, either to call the state security to order or to call Emefiele to return to the country or be fired,” human rights lawyer Femi Falana said.

This has drawn attention from the Africa Continental Free Trade Area (Afcfta) Roundtable, with founder Warmate Jones Idikio telling Quartz that the absence of the governor of the central bank of Africa’s biggest economy “leaves room for a lot of speculation.”

Nigeria is at risk

While fiscal policy, anti-inflationary measures, the strength of the Naira, and the general economic outlook for Nigeria may not be affected by the absence of the governor, according to Idikio, Nigeria risks being blacklisted by global financial bodies, according to the Center for Financial Surveillance and Illicit Transaction Tracking Group (CSITT).

“We received with disappointment the reports of the discovery of a suit secretly filed by the state security service wherein it accused Godwin Emefiele of terrorism financing as well as other crimes it described as economic crimes of national security dimension,” reads a statement by CSITT.

It claims that the plan to arrest the governor is motivated by “political and pecuniary reasons” and is “against the ethics of the Egmont group,” which blacklisted the country in 2017 for “lack of a legal framework and autonomy.”

Emefiele wanted to be Nigeria’s president
.
Last May, Emefiele was forced to drop his presidential ambitions after a high court in Abuja dismissed his request to not contest in the upcoming Feb. 25 elections.

He has been labeled Nigeria’s worst-performing central bank governor in history for spearheading the implementation of unfavorable monetary policies that Nigerians feel have been hurting them.

In 2019, Emefiele could not explain how Nigeria’s treasury lost over $2.5 billion meant for arms procurement under his watch but was still reappointed as governor by President Buhari. Nigerian authorities may allow Emefiele back to the country without being arrested. Still, he might be forced to resign from his position as allegations against him continue to tarnish the reputation of the country’s central bank.

Alleged graft, treason: The APC Presidential candidate Tinubu, Atiku PDP seek each other’s arrest and disqualification

Alleged graft, treason: Tinubu, Atiku seek each other's arrest, disqualification….By Omeiza Ajayi & John Alechenu, ABUJA

The intrigues trailing the race for the presidency assumed a dangerous twist yesterday, as the presidential candidate of the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, and his Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, counterpart, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, called for the arrest and disqualification of each other over allegations of graft.

Tinubu threw the first punch when he asked security agencies in the country to invite, arrest, interrogate and prosecute Alhaji Atiku Abubakar over what he described as #AtikuGate.

Citing a video clip made by one Michael Achimugu, said to be a former aide of the PDP standard bearer, Tinubu said Atiku as vice president between 1999 and 2007, colluded with his then boss, President Olusegun Obasanjo, to operate an illegal account tagged, "Special Purpose Vehicles" SPVs.

He accused the PDP-led administration between 1999 and 2007 of running a criminal enterprise, describing the era as the "SPV Years."

Responding in kind, Atiku and the PDP described Tinubu as a convict who should not be in the presidential race, adding that Tinubu's alleged $460,000 drug money forfeiture was evidence of a crime.

Tinubu's attack

Minister of State, Labour and Employment; and Chief Spokesman of the APC Presidential Campaign Council PCC, Mr. Festus Keyamo, SAN, had forwarded a petition to the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission EFCC, the Independent Corrupt Practices and other related offenses Commission, ICPC and the Code of Conduct Bureau, CCB, seeking arrest and prosecution of Atiku.

In the petition filed as a "Concerned Nigerian," Keyamo gave a 72-hour ultimatum to the anti-graft agencies to "arrest/invite, interrogate and prosecute one Alhaji Atiku Abubakar," failing which he said he would approach the courts to compel the agencies to act.

Noting that Atiku does not enjoy immunity simply because he is a presidential candidate, the APC candidate asked the former vice president to apologize and renounce his ambition.

He, however, said he would, in the coming days, approach the courts to seek Atiku's disqualification from the presidential race.

According to him, Atiku is not God and does not enjoy immunity from criminal prosecution. He urged security agencies not to be reluctant to arrest him simply because he is vying for President.

He said former Plateau State governor, Joshua Dariye, was jailed for paying state money into a company, Marine Float, linked to Atiku, insisting that the former vice-president must be arrested.

Tinubu spoke in Abuja at the PCC headquarters in Abuja yesterday through the full complement of his media directorate.

While the text of a prepared speech was read by Keyamo, he was flanked by the Special Adviser, Media, Communications, and Public Affairs at the PCC, Mr. Dele Alake; Director, Media and Publicity, Mr. Bayo Onanuga; Director, Special Media Projects/New Media, Mr. Femi Fani-Kayode; and, Director, Strategic Communications, Alhaji Idris Mohammed.

The PCC queried the sources of wealth of both Obasanjo and Atiku, especially concerning building their private universities.

On whether former President Obasanjo should equally be arrested, the PCC said the onus was on the security agencies to open investigations into the issue and stop anyone found wanting, no matter how highly placed.

Atiku's alleged 4 offenses

While the council played a two-minute recorded voice call purported to be a conversation between Messrs Achimugu and Atiku, it listed four offenses allegedly committed by the former vice president.

The alleged offenses are a Breach of the Code of Conduct Act, Money Laundering, Criminal Breach of Trust, and Conspiracy.

According to the PCC, Atiku may have gone against the provisions of Sections 5, 10, 13 & 17 of the Code of Conduct Bureau and Tribunal Act; Section 18 (2) of the Money Laundering (Prevention And Prohibition Act), 2022; Section 311 of the Penal Code Law and Section 96 (1) of the Penal Code Act In Nigeria.

No immunity

The council noted that law enforcement agencies may be reluctant to act simply because of the perception of persecution of a presidential candidate that the action may evoke.

However, it said facts are sacred and that the facts presented to the world clearly indicate that Atiku Abubakar has a case to answer.

"In other climes, when such serious allegations arose in the middle of campaigns, the law-enforcement agencies acted decisively. You may recall that, in 2016, in the middle of campaigns for the exalted office of the Presidency of the United States, the FBI opened investigations into allegations of misuse of private emails against Hillary Clinton when she was Secretary of State.

"The case was referred to the Justice Department for likely prosecution a few weeks before the voting. Though she was later cleared, it bears restating that a sane and dispassionate system never allowed such side talks to dissuade or distract them from initiating an investigation process. It is the minimum expected in a constitutional democracy. That is what we call on the authorities to do in the case of Alhaji Atiku Abubakar.

Marine Float Account

"The issue of the Marine Float Account is familiar to Nigerians. In the voice note, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar can be heard boasting that the case of that account was thoroughly investigated by EFCC.

"However, in 2006, at the height of his public quarrel with Obasanjo, the same PDP officially asked Atiku Abubakar to refund N500 million taken from that account.

"In the circumstance, since the nation knows that the Marine Float Account and other similar accounts were 'SPV' accounts, all payments made into that account were monies stolen from public coffers. Therefore, we call on all security agencies to recover all funds withdrawn from that account by anyone, for that matter.

"In the light of these grave revelations, we call on Atiku Abubakar to immediately tender an unreserved apology to the Nigerian people and step down from the Presidential race forthwith while handing himself over to the law enforcement agencies.

"Following these revelations, it becomes clear that Atiku Abubakar has absolutely nothing to campaign on again as the period of 1999-2007 that he always relies on can now be described by Nigerians as the 'SPV years' when they ran Nigeria aground.

"That while President Obasanjo and Atiku deprived the good people of Lagos State of their Local Government monthly allocations even after the Supreme Court ordered the release of the funds, they were busy using the SPV for other things.

"That the real, dark reason for the seemingly irreconcilable quarrel between President Obasanjo and Atiku Abubakar is disagreement over the 'SPV' accounts at that time.

"We call on all well-meaning Nigerians and the law-enforcement agencies to protect Mr. Michael Achimugu, who has blown this whistle on Atiku Abubakar. No harm must befall him or members of his family.

"We shall hold Atiku Abubakar responsible if anything befalls this patriotic Nigerian or family members. We also encourage him to reveal to Nigerians those 'earth-shaking' this nation's sake and our children's future and future of our children.

"It is our firm belief that the judiciary is the last hope for the hopeless. In this case, the judiciary will not be quiet as we shall clearly take steps in the next few days to initiate a judicial process seeking the outright disqualification of Atiku Abubakar from the race based on these facts. He is ethically challenged, morally damaged for the highest office of the land", the council added.

Arrest, question Tinubu for treason, PDP tells security agencies.

Countering, the Atiku/Okowa Presidential Campaign has demanded the immediate arrest and questioning of Tinubu for his alleged formation of a uniformed gang of thugs code-named "Jagaban Army" for the sole purpose of campaign spokesmanheist.

The campaign spokesman, Kola O in Abuja, said this in a statement, in Abuja, on Monday.

Ologbondiyan described the formation of the uniformed squad by the All Progressives Congress (APC) code-named "Jagaban Army" as "a treasonable act and calls for the arrest and questioning of the APC Presidential Candidate, Senator Bola Ahmed Tinubu."

He further said: "The Jagaban Army, which is apparently set up to disrupt the 2023 general elections and raid polling units for votes on behalf of APC Presidential candidate, Senator Bola Ahmed Tinubu, is a direct affront to the Nigeria Armed Forces and other security agencies as well as an assault on the sovereignty of our nation.

"It is reprehensible to undermine our nations just to disable and security arrangements of our country.

"Our Campaign holds that this nefarious act of the APC Tinubu/Shettima Campaign lends credence to the position of the PDP and well-meaning Nigerians that Tinubu, as well as his rank and file, have set out to make our nation ungovernable and after that disrupt the 2023 Presidential election scheduled for February 25, 2023, using his army of 'Jagabandits.'

"The notion of Jagaban Army is a ploy to bring hoodlums, thugs, and gangsters together under cover of the APC and turn them into an official militia that will be used to unleash mayhem on the day of the election.

"This reckless anti-democratic plot by the 'Jagabandits' must also be condemned by all lovers of democracy in Nigeria and worldwide.

"We call on the security agencies to save the lives of Nigerians and protect our electoral process by immediately going after this dangerous formation, arresting those behind this design, and keeping our nation from electoral violence.

"Our campaign counsels Tinubu to note that his Presidential ambition is not a do-or-die affair and that he should not set the nation ablaze just because Nigerians have rejected him and his party, the APC, for their mass failures."

Tinubu's $460,000 drug money forfeiture evidence of a crime —PDP

In like manner, the PDP dismissed Tinubu's calls and allegations against Atiku as "simulated allegations" and attempted to divert public attention from the issues affecting Nigerians.

National Publicity Secretary of the PDP, Mr. Debo Ologunagba, in a statement, said: "It is indeed ironic that an embattled Tinubu, who is beleaguered by uncountable cases of fraudulent activities, including perjury, forgery, treasury looting, corruption, and narcotic-related conviction can attempt to impugn on the unimpeachable integrity of the PDP Presidential Candidate.

"For clarity and for the interest of Nigerians, it is on record that Atiku Abubakar is one of the most investigated public officials in this country. It is also on record that in all the investigations undertaken over him and his affairs, Atiku Abubakar was never found culpable in any of the allegations.

"In contrast, however, the APC Presidential Candidate has a litany of confirmed legal impediments on grave issues, including those that border on international crime, namely, trafficking in narcotics and taking proceeds of drugs.

"In the recent case revealed in the United States of America, it is on record that the APC Presidential Candidate forfeited the sum of $460,000, which was confirmed and found to be proceeds of trafficking in narcotics, an international crime for which Nigeria, being a signatory to International Convention on trafficking in drugs is obliged to enforce.

"The effect of the conviction and forfeiture of the sum of $460,000 by Asiwaju Tinubu confirms that he is ineligible and not qualified to contest for the Office of the President of Nigeria as required by the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, 1999 (as amended)."

The PDP Spokesman, who is a lawyer by training, further said: "For clarity, Section 137 (1) (d) of the Constitution of Federal Republic of Nigeria, 1999 (as amended) provides that:(1) "A person shall not be qualified for election to the office of President if…

"(d)He is under a sentence of death imposed by any competent court of law or tribunal in Nigeria or a sentence of imprisonment or fine for any offense involving dishonesty or fraud (by whatever name called) or for any other offense, imposed on him by ANY COURT or tribunal or substituted by a competent authority for any other sentence imposed on him by such a court or tribunal."

"Having been convicted, sentenced, and fined for narcotic trafficking in a criminal suit filed under the United States Criminal Code, Asiwaju Tinubu cannot, by Section 137 (1)(d) of the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria 1999 (as amended) seek office as President of Nigeria.

"The APC Presidential Candidate has not come out to deny the conviction and forfeiture or show evidence of his attempt to challenge or appeal the judgment, apparently believing it will slide with time.

"Asiwaju Tinubu ought to know that time does not run against the State in a criminal matter!

"He should therefore withdraw from the Presidential race having been found ineligible and not qualified to run or to contest for the Office of the President of Nigeria under the provisions of the Nigerian Constitution."

How I will be re-elected – Gov Bello Story by Adelowo Oladipo - Minna

Governor Abubakar Sani Bello of Niger State has said that the large turnout of people at the flag-off ceremony of the All Progressives Candidates (APC) campaign rally for (Zone C) Niger North Senatorial District's candidates in Kontagora is a clear indication that the party will coast to victory.

Governor Bello, seeking a Senate seat to represent Niger North Senatorial District in the 2023 general elections, said that the mammoth crowd signified that he, alongside others, has been accepted by the people and appealed to them to vote massively for all APC candidates at the State and Federal levels.

"I believe the people appreciate the growth and development done in the constituency. So I have no doubt that they will come out and cast their votes for APC at all levels", he said.

The Governor assured the people of good representation at all levels, saying, "We need to assure them that we will do the needful, and I believe we have a great team, working together in the best interest of Niger state" '.

Earlier, in their separate remarks, the APC Gubernatorial candidate in the State, Hon. Umaru Mohammed Bago and the National Assembly member representing Kontagora, Mashegu, Mariga, and Wushishi Federal Constituency, Hon. Abdullahi Idris Garba, who is also seeking re-election, enjoined the people to vote for the party, urging their supporters to engage in violent-free campaigns and avoid the destruction of campaign materials of other political parties.

They also encourage voters to collect their Permanent Voters Cards (PVC) and ensure to vote on election day.

Meanwhile, thousands of people decamped from various political parties to the APC, including PDP Executives, its former State Women leader, and the state women Coordinator of NNPP.

On behalf of his colleagues, the District Head of Zugurma, Alhaji Usman Baiwa, commended the Governor's prompt response on security issues which has brought some relief to their people, but called for more enforcement and prayed for the safe return of those still in captivity.

He assured the Governor of their support and loyalty as he blessed them and wished them victory.

Soludo continue Attack On Obi, Pulls Down His Billboards Story by Chukwujekwu Ilozue

AWKA – Barely two months after Anambra State Governor, Charles Chukwuma Soludo, criticized Mr. Peter Obi, presidential candidate of the Labour Party (LP), for ‘worthless’ savings, the state government has expanded the battlefront further by pulling down the campaign billboards of Obi and the Senatorial candidate of the party for Anambra Central, Chief Victor Umeh, mounted at strategic places in the state.

The Labour Party accused Soludo of giving them the to take action taken.

A chieftain of the party who spoke on condition of anonymity said Obi and Umeh’s giant billboard at the UNIZIK Temporary Site Flyover was pulled down on Saturday by the Anambra Signage and Advertising Agency (ANSAA).

He alleged that the billboard at UNIZIK Temporary Site Junction was removed on the orders of Soludo.

He argued that “The advert placed by an APCON registered Advertising Agency was fully paid for.

“Soludo said that he did not want the Labour Party to advertise in such a strategic place and ordered the Anambra Signage Agency to refund the money it received for the advert.

“He also ordered the removal of the Labour Party advert at the Afor Nnobi Gantry. This advert has been there since October 2022 and was paid for five months.

However, the Managing Director of Anambra Signage and Advertising Agency (ANSAA), Mr. Tony Ujubuonu, confirmed that the LP billboard was removed on Saturday but not on the orders of the state governor.

He said: “Whatever was removed was due to a challenge we had with the agent that erected the board.

First and foremost is that the bridge you are talking about had a Labour Party billboard. If you recall, we sent out a message to all political parties to pay their campaign fees in August.

“There was a lot of hullabaloo about it. None of them has paid their own. So most of the parties that have not paid theirs that have adverts on government assets were removed. It has nothing to do with the governor. Governor didn’t give any orders. If they said they paid the campaign fees, let them give me any evidence, I should know I am the ANSAA MD.

“They didn’t pay the campaign fees, and we spoke to their media heads several times; we informed them about the enforcement, and they haven’t paid it, so we decided to take down the advert. It has nothing to do with the governor. Anybody that tells you anything about the governor and the billboard is telling you lies.”

According to Ujubuonu, when the advert was removed, the government refunded the advertising agency that mounted the advert money.

What Tinubu offered me when we met in London – Wike makes Shocking Insight

The Governor of Rivers State, Nyesom Wike, had claimed the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, offered him a senatorial ticket when they met in London, United Kingdom.

Wike revealed this during a media chat on Friday morning.

The governor arranged the chat in a bid to address the crisis in the Peoples Democratic Party.

According to Wike, he contested the presidential primaries because he wanted to be the candidate, so he didn’t buy a senatorial form.

“I didn’t contest so I could become a vice presidential candidate.

“I am not like others who were not severe and bought senatorial form alongside presidential form, and that’s why when Tinubu offered me a senate slot, I didn’t go for It.
